Patty Hurley, Los Altos resident and mother of a special needs child, is the founder and director of SEAC.  Patty’s educational experience includes:

Taught English and Social Studies in both private and public schools, also assisted in a Los Altos Elementary Resource Room 

Currently serves on the Special Education Local Plan Area Community Advisory Committee (since 1999) which represents special education families in Palo Alto, Los Altos and Mountain View

Co-Founded Los Altos Special Education PTA 2007, served on this board for 2 years

Co-Created the Ability Awareness Program which celebrates learning diversity in our schools (selpa1cac.org)

Currently tutors academics at the Pacific Learning Center in Los Altos (since 1985)

Currently mentors with Partners For New Generations (since 2006)
